The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is New Zealand’s lead organization for the social sector that provides employment, income support, superannuation services, and funding to community service providers. MSD also manages the Public Housing Register and ensures access to emergency housing. It plays a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and communities to participate in employment, education, and training.
